Emmanuel & Chronic Illness

As the months and years roll on, chronic illness has its own way of wearing you out and dampening down the allure of this life.

Broken bodies and interrupted lives long for deliverance…for everything to be made right again. We want someone to understand our pain and to do something about it.

In walks Emmanuel, which translated means “God with us.” Could that be true? Could eternal majesty dwell among broken people?

Yes! Jesus, God’s Son, came down from heaven, eternity, and immortality and wrapped himself in frail human flesh.

He experienced and bore all of our sickness and infirmities. He was tempted in every way as we are but never sinned.

Jesus knows from his own experience the plight of  those who are sick—and he showed them great compassion.

Yet not only does he know illness and mortality from personal experience, he also knows how to deliver us from it.

Jesus, Yeshua means “God is salvation!”

Jesus came not only to identify with our brokenness, but all the more to rescue and save us from chronic illness, suffering, and death through the forgiveness of our sins.

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.'” 1 Cor 15:54

Jesus will come again to bring deliverance—including relief from chronic illness and all its complications and disappointments.

We look forward to a brand new body that doesn’t get sick anymore.

Come again Lord Jesus and make everything new!

  1. Michael & Christy,
Merry Christmas to you and family from snowy Colorado. At this time of year when gifts dominate our thoughts, thank you for the reminder of the Father’s amazing gift of Yeshua, the Son of His love. And the promise of real hope that one day we will be delivered from all illness and infirmity, both physical and spiritual, is the greatest gift we will receive on Sunday, the 25th, or any day of the year, as we enjoy His presence in our homes and hearts.
All love to you, in Yeshua’s precious name,

    • Charles,
